Meet the Council.

The Council serves Family of Christ by ensuring strong and faithful leadership in the areas of fiscal responsibility and physical campus.    

JIM BRESETTE

Council Chair

Family: I have been married to Celeste, a wife of noble character (Proverbs 31:10-31), for 35 years. We have 4 adult children: Tara (married to Steve with granddaughters Kenna and Kinley), James, Adam, and Erik. Our family is very active in the U.S. military and includes many veterans and reservists.

BEING KNOWN: I enjoy history, financial planning, mentoring others in careers, finances, stewardship and faith. I revel in the blessings of my life with Celeste and our family. While I struggle at times, I value the purpose God has created me for and the gifts and talents He has equipped me with. Celeste and I are blessed to be a daughter and son in Christ's church eternal and members of our Family of Christ.

PHIL DANIELS

Family: I've been married to Laura for 33 years. We have 2 adult daughters: Ashley (married Zach earlier this year) who is currently living in Detroit and Lexi who lives in Atlanta. We raised our girls in St. Louis and moved to Tampa after they'd both graduated from college.

BEING KNOWN: I'm a partner in a wealth management firm where I provide counsel to the wonderful families we serve.  I also enjoy working on business strategy and mentoring younger members of our team.  In my free time I enjoy traveling with Laura, spending time with our daughters, finding fun new restaurants, playing golf, and watching college football. We are blessed to be part of the family that is Family of Christ.

ARIANA DENNEY

Secretary
Other Roles: Deacons 4 years, Tech Team, Campus Clean Up, Assist with Communications, birthday/anniversary cards, Altar Guild, and special events/projects.

Favorite Bible Verses: Proverbs 16.9

Family: I am married for Colin Denney for 9 years and have 3 stepsons (Addison, Brandon, and Chandler), grandson Cyrus, and granddaughter Robyn.

BEING KNOWN: II enjoy baking, yoga, board games, puzzling, stained glass, gardening, and a good beach day.  I love to share my time with Family of Christ, Habitat for Humanity, Hospice, and the GFWC Juniors club. I really enjoy the weekly Women's Bible Study at FOC!

MIRANDA PANETTA

Secretary

Family: My family consists of my Husband Joe Panetta, my daughter Ariana, and my son Luka. ( I also have two cats that are my babies as well, Khumba and Kygo)

BEING KNOWN: I love spending time with my family.  I enjoy showing the world to my children and enjoying every moment with them, my family, and my friends.  I enjoy learning, reading, and traveling.  I love being out in nature and the mountains are my favorite place to go.

BOBBY BUCHOLTZ

Campus
Other Roles: Building committee, prior member of the Deacons, help with Campus Clean up, Breakfast Brigade, Holy Smokes (grilling team), Fall Fest, Fishing group, Homeless Christmas Party, Bonfire, 5x Chili Champion, future founder of Holy Spirits (Mens study group) and other duties as assigned.

Family: My family consists of my loving wife Shannon Suldo-Bucholtz, daughter Emma and son Blake.

BEING KNOWN: I love to help and give back to others. I am very active in Scouts with my son, Volleyball, Athletic training, Skimboarding, Skating and fishing with my daughter while spending amazing time traveling and enjoying life with my wife. Being an active part of FOC and help us grow makes me very happy and I am super excited to see where we go.

The Council's responsibilities include tasks like:

  • Ensuring our congregation's bylaws, constitution, and continuing resolutions are followed
  • Assemble our congregation for Voter's Meetings
  • Oversee all Family of Christ business aspects
  • Promote congregational offerings, contributions, and faithful use of all God-given talent
  • Prepare an annual budget for our congregation to adopt
  • Overseeing our budget's income and expenditure after it's adopted
  • Ensuring our congregation's financial affairs are run efficiently and faithfully
  • Managing our congregation's investments and insurance program
