Our Deacons serve Family of Christ keeping us focused on Jesus' mission. They support and assist the pastor in in his spiritual and administrative tasks toward the goal of nurturing and strengthening the spiritual life, mission, and ministry of Family of Christ.

Family: My husband, Lenny, and I have been married for 26 years, and we have two daughters, Victoria & Gabriella.

Being Known:  I was born and raised in Minnesota and spent 25 years in New Jersey before moving to Florida for a slower pace & fun in the sun. I am a cancer survivor and give God all the glory for my healing journey. In my spare time, I enjoy family game nights, evening walks and traveling.

Family: My wife Ariana and I have been married for 9 years.  We have 3 grown sons, Addison, Charles, and Chandler, and two beautiful grandchildren, Cyrus and Robyn.

Family: I have been married to my beautiful wife Beth for 36+ years.  We have one son (my stepson), Josh, who, with his wife of 25 years, have 11 children (no twins), ages 5-23.

Being Known: I enjoy driving trips with my wife, walking, seeing nature, gardens, museums and small towns. I also enjoy bicycling and praying several times a week, and am nearing a 25,000 mile goal. I also enjoy competitive tennis, chess and Scrabble, and playing guitar.

Family: My husband, Don, and I have been married for 34 years.  We enjoy family time with my two children from my previous marriage, Christy and Brian, and with his son, Chris.  We are blessed with five grandchildren.  

Being Known: I was born in Ohio and moved to Florida in 1999.  I love being outdoors and enjoy the Florida sunshine!  Many people call me “SUNSHINE”.  I love to bring joy into people’s lives.  I retired in 2025 and absolutely LOVE my new life of exercising, traveling, painting, reading, and being with friends.  I enjoy baking and cooking too.  My greatest blessing is being a Mom and Grandma.  THANK YOU JESUS!

The Deacons' responsibilities include tasks like:

  • Assist our pastor(s) in the ministry of the congregation including involving people in the church, visitations (hospital, home), and mentoring new members.
  • Overseeing and exercising church discipline when necessary
  • Overseeing our congregation's membership and participation
  • Oversee acceptance of adults into membership
  • Overseeing the worship life, discipleship, and mission in our church and school.
  • Caring for our pastors' spiritual, emotional, and physical health
  • Caring for our spiritual, emotional, and physical health of other staff
  • Caring for our congregation's attitudes and harmony
  • Regularly evaluating our pastors' preaching and teaching
  • Evaluating our pastor(s) on an annual basis
  • Oversee the Call process for our Called positions
